Last night the New York Knicks faced the Boston Celtics in an exhibition game. Surprisingly there were a lot of Celtics fans in The Garden last night, unless they were disgruntled Knicks fans. Many people believed that last season with the new coach Mike D'Antoni, and a new direction that the Knicks were going to make it to the playoffs. This did not come to fruition but they did end the season better then their 07-08 season. With few additions being made to the team such as new center 7ft Darko Milicic and three rookies to the team, they hope to add a presence in the center as well as some youth.
Even though last nights game was very sloppy for both teams the Knicks gave NY fans hope that with team work and hard play for 4 full quarters that they may just be in contention for the playoffs this season.
David Lee was on point with his normal double double for the game, with 19 points and 16 rebounds. Nate Robinson 21 points, Al Harrington 20 points, and Danilo Gallinari finally showed all the doubters out there that he may just be what the Knicks need, scoring 18 points.
Now this game by no means can tell what to expect for the regular season, but it does show the Knicks that they can play well against and beat a team that is suppose to superior. I know only time will tell what the regular season holds for the Knicks, but I'm just hoping that time gives the Knicks at least 8th place in the Eastern conference for the playoffs.
Knicks fan for life. The knicks look good this preseason but i am sad to say that they most likely won't make the playoffs because most the the Eastern teams have gottin better. Either way it will still be fun to watch and see how things unfold.

ReplyDeleteYeah you know NY for life but I hate that fact that we have to be at the bottom of the damn pile, it is nice to just wish and see if they can play their hearts out and see if they get rid of Curry like they said they will. He was told to lose weight or ship out woooooooo. Dueces Curry
